Ingredients

3 Ounces Chicken Stock
1/2 Cup Cooked Ham or Bacon
1/2 Lare Onion Diced
1 Cup Sweet Corn
1 to 3 Carrots
2 to 3 Stalks Celery
1 Tbsp Chilli Powder
1 Tsp Cumin
1 Tsp Cayenne
1/2 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp Jalapeño pepper flakes or peppers diced small
1 Tsp Habanero hot sauce, or to taste
1 Large Bay Leaf
1 Can Tomatoes Diced
15 Ounce Black Beans rinsed and drained
4 small/medium Green Chillies Diced small

Preparation

  1. In a large slow cooker, mix the together black beans, diced tomatoes, green chillies, garlic, and chicken broth. Including all other ingredients, next step.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the spices and add to the soup mixture. Then, add the hot sauce and bay leaf. Cook on low for 4 hours. Serve hot.
